The Many Neighborhoods of Manhattan
Over the years, several of Manhattan's neighborhoods have become known for the particular business that is conducted there. Each of these neighborhoods has developed particular features of interest. Restaurant Row is located one block north from the Milford Plaza, between 8th and 9th Avenues. The name is derived from the numerous small restaurants that line the street. The street itself has a small neighborhood feel despite its proximity to Times Square and the Broadway theatres. - Financial District
The Milford Plaza location is a nice alternative for those who need to work in the financial district, but want to be where the action is. The subway, only steps away from the Milford Plaza entrance will take you right to Wall Street. This historic neighborhood, which contains the New York Stock Exchange, and the famous Century 21 for shopping has been the financial , political, and judicial center of New York City since the first Dutch colonists arrived in 1614. - Shopping
